Pop Warner & BuxMont
The BuxMont Youth Football League exists to promote and sponsor a Pop Warner youth program of competitive age and weight group tackle football, flag football, and cheerleading, combined with the teaching, training and supervision of the ideals of sportsmanship, teamwork, scholarship and development of good character.
BuxMont Youth Football & Cheerleading is a member of Pop Warner Little Scholars and Eastern Region Pop Warner. The league is currently made up of 18 associations throughout the Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Pop Warner football has been around since the inception of the league in 1929 by founder Joseph J. Tomlin as a four-team conference in Northeast Philadelphia.
SAFETY FIRST!
Pop Warner has a long history of providing a safe environment for all of our members. Kids compete with kids of similar age and size. Pop Warner is the ONLY youth football program (local, regional and national) that sets and enforces a strict Age & Weight Matrix that reduces the risk and reality of injuries. Datalys Institute’s research data show that Pop Warner Rules and Heads-Up Football Training result in injury rate that has 87% fewer injuries than non-Heads-Up/non Pop Warner programs.
